Hi there! I'm excited to be starting this fall as an Assistant Professor at James Madison University in the department of Political Science.
My research looks at the dynamics and legacies of civil conflict, particularly the relationship between group identities and violence.
I've previously been a fellow at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Chicago's Project on Security and Threats (CPOST), and spent three years as a visiting assistant professor at Bates College (Maine). I did my doctoral studies at Yale University, where I was affiliated with the Order, Conflict, and Violence (OCV) and Political Violence and its Legacies (PVL) programs.
